Overview of Privacy Policy

Please read our Privacy Policy to understand all of our information collection and use practices. For ease of use, here is a summary of some of the major points:

This policy covers both survey respondents and the originating employers that want the surveys filled out so that they may hire the best candidates.

If you are a survey respondent, your survey results are analyzed using our proprietary analysis tools and sent to the requesting employer in the form of a report. We share your information with the requesting employer, particularly if our services show you are good fit for the desired role, and with other third parties that need your information for us to provide our services (for example, the company hosting our web services).

We use industry-standard information collection techniques for our website (like analytics tools and cookies) to see how users engage with our services so that we can improve those services and run them as intended.

We comply with GDPR. For EU members we provide you with rights of access, rectification, erasure, and restriction. You can opt out of our data collection and mailing lists and request that we delete all of your information from our services. You may file your GDPR request here.

Privacy Policy
  1. Revisions to this Privacy Policy. Any information that is collected via our Services is covered by the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes to our Services or use the information we receive from you via the Services, or other changes that would require any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we’ll notify you of those changes by posting them on the Services or by sending you an email or other notification, and we’ll update the Privacy Policy and note the “Last Updated Date” above to indicate when those changes will become effective. You understand and agree that you will be deemed to have accepted the updated Privacy Policy if you use the Services after the updated Privacy Policy is posted on the Services. If at any point you do not agree to any portion of the Privacy Policy then in effect, you must immediately stop using the Services.
  2. Information Collected or Received from You. Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve our Services, to administer your use of the Services (including your Account, if you are an Account holder), and to enable you to enjoy and easily navigate our Services.
    1. Mailing List. We will collect your email address and other information you may voluntarily provide to us when you join our mailing list and use it to send you communications about our Services, which we believe will be of interest to you.
    2. Account Information. If you create an Account, we’ll collect certain information that can be used to identify you, such as your name, email address, postal address and phone number; this information, together with any other information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, whether you or a third party, is considered “personally identifiable information” (“PII”). If you are accessing and using the Services either on behalf of your employer or as a job applicant, you may create an Account with an access token provided via an email link sent to you by Frontier Signal. If you are a survey respondent, your Account enables you to respond to surveys requested by your employer or potential employer, to return to such surveys complete them, and to review survey responses after completion. We use your Account information to authenticate your identity to provide you with the Services and so we know what information is “yours” when you request to review or delete such information.
    3. Information Collected from You when You Visit Our Site or Use Our Services. Like many website owners and operators, we use automated data collection tools such as Cookies and Web Beacons to collect certain information.
    4. “Cookies” are small text files that are placed on your device by a web server when you access our Services. We may use both session Cookies and persistent Cookies to inform us on how and when you interact with the Services. We may also use Cookies to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on our Services and to customize and improve our Services. Unlike persistent Cookies, session Cookies are deleted when you log off from the Services and close your browser. Although most browsers automatically accept Cookies, you can change your browser options to stop automatically accepting Cookies or to prompt you before accepting Cookies. Please note, however, that if you don’t accept Cookies, you may not be able to access all portions or features of the Services. Some third-party services providers that we engage (including third-party advertisers) may also place their own Cookies on your device. Note that this Privacy Policy covers only our use of Cookies and does not include use of Cookies by such third parties.
    5. “Web Beacons” (also known as web bugs, pixel tags or clear GIFs) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that may be included on our Services for several purposes, including to deliver or communicate with Cookies, to track and measure the performance of our Services, to monitor how many visitors view our Services, and to monitor the effectiveness of our advertising. Unlike Cookies, which are stored on the device, Web Beacons are typically embedded invisibly on web pages (or in an e-mail).
    6. “Log Data” means certain information about how a person uses our Services, including both Account holders and non-Account holders (either, a “User”). Log Data may include information such as a User’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, the web page that a User was visiting before accessing our Services, the pages or features of our Services to which a User browsed and the time spent on those pages or features, search terms, the links on our Services that a User clicked on and other statistics. We may use a person’s IP address to generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how our Services are used.
    7. Information Sent by Your Device. We collect certain information that your device sends when you use our Services, like a device identifier, user settings, and the operating system of your device, as well as information about your use of our Services.
We use each of the above technologies and information for the following purposes:
      • As operationally necessary, for example, to identify irregular behavior, prevent fraudulent activity, improve security, and allow the use of Service-related functions;
      • To improve performance, for example, to better understand how our customers and survey respondents use our Services, determine if you have interacted with our customer service, viewed an item or link, or to generally improve our Services; and
      • For functionality-related purposes, for example, identifying when you sign in, keep track of your specified preferences, interests, or previous survey entries
    8. Location Information. When you use our Services, we may collect and store information about your location by converting your IP address into a rough geo-location. We may use location information to improve and personalize our Services for you.
  3. Information that We Share with Third Parties. We will not share any PII that we have collected from or regarding you except as described below:
    1. Survey Respondent Information Shared with Your Potential Employer. If you are responding to a survey, any responses you provide will be (i) analyzed using our proprietary technologies to screen your responses against the criteria specified by your employer or potential employer (the entity who requested that we provide you with and analyze your survey) and (ii) sent as a processed result (report) to such requesting company.
    2. Information Shared with Our Services Providers. We may engage third-party services providers to work with us to administer and provide the Services, including but not limited to hosting services, customer services, IT services, and payment processors. These third-party services providers have access to your PII only for the purpose of performing services on our behalf. If you sign up for our newsletter or otherwise sign up for marketing communications from us, we may share your PII with our marketing service providers to help us better market our products and services to you. These marketing service providers may use your PII only for the purpose of helping us to provide relevant products and services information to you.
    3. Information Shared with other Third Parties. We may share anonymized or aggregated data we collect from the use of the Services, such as de-identified demographic information, de-identified location information, information about the computer or device from which you access the Services, market trends and other analysis that we create based on the information we receive from you and other users.
    4. Information Shared with Web Analytics Services Providers. We may use analytics service providers to gather information about how users engage with our Site and Services. We use this information to improve the Site and Services.
    5. Information Disclosed in Connection with Business Transactions. Information that we collect from our users, including PII, is considered to be a business asset. Thus, if we are acquired by a third party as a result of a transaction such as a merger, acquisition or asset sale or if our assets are acquired by a third party in the event we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, some or all of our assets, including your PII, may be disclosed or transferred to a third party acquirer in connection with the transaction.
    6. Information Disclosed for Our Protection and the Protection of Others. We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials or private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate: (i) to respond to claims, legal process (including subpoenas); (ii) to protect our property, rights and safety and the property, rights and safety of a third party or the public in general; (iii) to stop any activity that we consider illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity; (iv) to enforce our policies; (v) to collect amounts owed to us; or (v) if we, in good faith, believe that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable.
  4. Your Choices. We offer you choices regarding the collection, use and sharing of your PII and we’ll respect the choices you make. Please note that if you decide not to provide us with the PII that we request, you may not be able to access all of the features of the Services.
    1. Opt-Out of our Mailings. We may periodically send you free newsletters and e-mails that directly promote our Services. When you receive such promotional communications from us, you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” (either through your Account or by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive). We do need to send you certain communications regarding the Services and you will not be able to opt out of those communications – e.g., communications regarding updates to our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy.
    2. Cookies and Interest-Based Advertising. You may stop or restrict the placement of cookies on your computer or remove them from your browser by adjusting your web browser preferences. Please note that cookie-based opt-outs are not effective on mobile applications. However, on many mobile devices, application users may opt out of certain mobile ads via their device settings. The online advertising industry also provides websites from which you may opt out of receiving targeted ads from our data partners and our other advertising partners that participate in self-regulatory programs. You can access these, and also learn more about targeted advertising and consumer choice and privacy, at www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp, or http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ and www.aboutads.info/choices/. You can also choose not to be included in Google Analytics here. To be clear, whether you are using our opt-out or an online industry opt-out, these cookie-based opt-outs must be performed on each device and browser that you wish to have opted-out. For example, if you have opted-out on your computer browser, that opt-out will not be effective on your mobile device. You must separately opt out on each device. Advertisements on third-party websites that contain the AdChoices link and that link to this Privacy Policy may have been directed to you based on anonymous, non-PII collected by advertising partners over time and across websites. These advertisements provide a mechanism to opt out of the advertising partners’ use of this information for interest-based advertising purposes.
    3. Modifying Your Information. If you are survey respondent, you can access your survey responses at any time (until we or your employer or potential employer deletes them) by using your username and password. You may edit your survey responses until you submit the survey—after which point you will only be able to view your responses. If you want us to delete your PII and/or your Account, please contact us at info@frontiersignal.com with your request. We’ll take steps to delete your information as soon we can, but some information may remain in archived/backup copies for our records or as otherwise required by law.
    4. Rights of Access, Rectification, Erasure, and Restriction. If you live in the European Union you may inquire as to whether we are processing any PII that we have about you, and request access to, correction, or deletion of PII. To contact us, please email us at info@frontiersignal.com. Please include your full name, email address associated with your account if applicable, and a detailed description of your data request. Although we will make a good faith effort to comply with your request, there may be circumstances when we are unable to do so, such as when the information contains legal privilege or is subject to a legal obligation to retain it, would compromise others’ privacy or other legitimate rights, where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the individual’s privacy or where it is commercially proprietary. To protect your privacy, we will take commercially reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to or making any changes to your PII
  5. Data Retention. Frontier Signal retains the information described in this Privacy Policy for as long as you use the Services, and thereafter as long as needed to resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, enforce our agreements, comply with applicable laws, and as otherwise stated in a separate agreement we may have with you. Information provided your survey respondents is stored indefinitely (or at Frontier Signal’s discretion). If you request to have survey responses deleted, we will respond to such a request within 30 days.
  6. Responding to Do Not Track Signals. Our Site does not have the capability to respond to “Do Not Track” signals received from various web browsers.
  7. The Security of Your Information. We endeavor to take commercially reasonable administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect the information that we collect from or about you (including your PII) from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When you enter sensitive information on our forms, we encrypt this data using SSL or other technologies. Please be aware, however, that no method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing information is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information.
    1. Links to Other Sites Our Services may contain links to websites and services that are owned or operated by third parties (each, a “Third-party Service”). Any information that you provide on or to a Third-party Service or that is collected by a Third-party Service is provided directly to the owner or operator of the Third-party Service and is subject to the owner’s or operator’s privacy policy. We’re not responsible for the content, privacy or security practices and policies of any Third-party Service. To protect your information we recommend that you carefully review the privacy policies of all Third-party Services that you access.
    2. International Transfer Your PII may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you’re located outside the United States and choose to provide your PII to us, we may transfer your PII to the United States and process it there.
    3. Our Policy Toward Children. Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (and in certain jurisdictions under the age of 16) and we do not knowingly collect PII from children under 13 (and in certain jurisdictions under the age of 16). If we learn that we have collected PII of a child under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions) we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible. If you learn that your child has provided us with PII without your consent, you may alert us at info@frontiersignal.com.
      1. Questions? Please contact us at info@frontiersignal.com if you have any questions about our Privacy Policy or how to lodge a complaint with the appropriate authority.
